Drawing a Cup of tea

Step 1:

We will start this guide on how to draw a teacup by removing the body of the teacup. Getting that perfect cup shape can be trickier than you think, so it’s a step you’ll want to take slowly while closely following the reference image. The flanks and lid of the mug will be marked with an unmarried curved bar.

This line can be easier to draw if you use a pencil first, so you don’t have to worry about getting it right the first time, which makes it less frustrating! Once you’ve drawn this outline, draw another inside curved line near the top of the cup for the rim. However, this curved line will not touch the sides of the mug! Once you’re happy with it, we’ll move on to step 2.

Step 2:

Next, you will draw the handle for your teacup design in this step. Begin by drawing a lengthy, narrow oval form on the right side of the cup. Then draw a curved line near it for the extreme fringe of the hold. Once you’ve drawn the handle, you can add another inverted curved line to the edge, just like in step one.

The only way to improve a teacup is to put tea in it; this line will represent that there is indeed tea in that teacup. Then, before continuing, you can draw another curved line at the base of the cup for the small rim.

Step 3:

Every suitable teacup has a matching saucer, which we’ll draw in this step of our guide on how to draw a teacup. Start by drawing a rounded line on one side of the cup, go under it and cross to the opposite side at the handle. Once you’ve drawn this, carefully add another line to the base of the saucer, as this will act as its bottom edge. That’s all you have to do, so let’s go!

Step 4:

Before we start adding some final details to your teacup drawing, let’s first add some additional rim details. To do this on the top of the cup, we will first add a line along the perimeter of the top edge of the cup that you drew earlier. Next, we’ll add a few more lines inside the inner top. It might look a bit confusing, but the reference image will guide you on how it looks. Finally, we’ll draw more rounded lines on the saucer, starting from one side near the bottom of the cup to the other. Then it’s a term for some final pieces in the following parts.

Step 5:

It’s almost time to color this cute picture, but we’ll add some final details first in this fifth step of our guide to drawing a cup of tea. The details we will draw will mainly serve to add texture and luminosity to the image. First, add some curved lines on the body of the teacup. Next, we will add smaller lines from the tea line to the edge.

Once you’ve drawn them, we’ll finish by drawing some line details on the saucer for added texture. Then you are ready to move on! Before doing this, you can add some of your information. It can be design details on the cup, or you can draw the type of treatment you would like to enjoy with this tea. What else can you feel of to conduct this picture?

Step 6:

It is the last stage of drawing the teacup, and we will end up with fantastic colors in this one. We used blues for the cup, greens for the saucer, and browns for the tea. This design is about creating your ideal cup of tea, so while these colors are a suggestion, feel free to use whatever color you like! You can also experiment with different artistic mediums to complete it.
